What to Expect
Application Timeline
- CPAT - Candidate Physical Ability Test
- Must have an issue date between November 1, 2024 and May 30, 2025.
- You can find locations and information at https://www.fctconline.org/cpat/ or https://www.nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/exams.cfm.
- REQUIRED Exam at Public Safety Answers
Register with Public Safety Answers for the exam process, go to https://www.publicsafetyanswers.com/truckeemeadows, review the page, and begin the 2-step application process.
- Be Prepared
Before applying, be sure to locate and scan all required certifications and documentation to upload to the application. Please only upload the requested documents!
- Applications Accepted
- Applications will be accepted for a minimum of 21 days from the date posted.
- Completing the application is the next step to begin your career in fire!
- Application Review
- Your application will be reviewed to ensure minimum qualifications are met, including all required certifications and documents are attached.
- Three-minute interview video from "Public Safety Answers" will be reviewed and ranked.
- Once the review is completed, you will be notified of your application status.
- If you have met all of the required qualifications your application will be accepted and moved to the next step in the recruitment process.
- Eligible List Established
The top scoring candidates through the recruitment process will be ranked by score and placed on an eligibility list for interview and EMS assessment.
- Interview
- This is your time to shine! Be sure to review our website, learn about the agency, the job you want, the programs etc.
- Candidates will be interviewed based on their ranking on the Eligible list.
- EMS Skills Assessment (Paramedic Only)
You will be evaluated on your expertise, knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: Analytical Skills, cognitive skills, and problem-solving, including patient assessment, scene management, and providing advanced emergency medical treatment to sick and injured individuals.
- Conditional Job Offer
- Congratulations! You have been offered the job! If you accept the offer, a formal job offer will be sent to you for review and signature.
- The offer remains conditional until you successfully complete the pre-employment requirements.
- Pre-employment Requirements
You have returned your offer letter, now what??
You will begin the pre-employment steps to move you to a TMFPD EMPLOYEE!! The District requirements may include, but are not limited to:
- Onboarding sent via NEOGOV for you to complete your hiring documentation
- Extensive Background Check
- Medical Exam (if applicable)
- Driving History
- Final Job Offer
You will receive this letter once all pre-employment requirements have been successfully passed.
