As a Firefighter with us, you could serve our community at any of our ten ALS stations within the county. Additionally, we offer exciting opportunities to specialize in areas like Wildland Firefighting, Water Entry, Haz-Mat, Auto Extrication, and more.

As one of the fastest growing agencies in the region, TMFPD is recognized as a local innovator, spearheading several first-of-their-kind programs in the area, such as fire-based Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport, Fuels Management, and comprehensive continuing education programs for its members.

Travel the nation! TMFPD supports our state, federal, and local partners by sending apparatus, crews, and single-resource personnel across the United States to support the needs of the communities during emergency incidents.

TMFPD members are represented by the International Association of Fire Fighters Local Chapter 2487. These representatives devote their time and energy to ensuring the best possible working conditions for their members while never sacrificing the level of service provided to the community.

The positions of firefighter/paramedic and firefighter/EMT require very special personality characteristics, physical abilities, and a desire to place the needs of the community above your own. If you pursue this career, you can engage in rescue operations during structure fires, high-angle rescues, and vehicle accidents. You can use your EMT or paramedic skills to provide medical care on scene and during transport.

TMFPD Firefighters work 48 hours on and then 96 hours off with a rotating schedule. For example, one week you will work Tuesday and Wednesday and the next Monday and Tuesday.
